The Santa Monica College Corsairs football team hosts its 2026 Homecoming Game against the West Los Angeles College Wildcats on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Corsair Stadium. Kickoff is at 5 p.m.

The Corsairs enter the game at 6-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play, according to the SMC athletics schedule. They are 4-0 at home. Their most recent outing was a 53-0 loss at Golden West College on Oct. 17. The Corsairs' only other loss came at Grossmont on Oct. 3, a 38-26 defeat.

Head coach Kelly Ledwith's squad opened the season with five consecutive victories, including a 43-14 win over Glendale and a 42-14 road win at L.A. Valley. The Corsairs also picked up a forfeit win over L.A. Pierce College on Oct. 10 after the Brahmas suspended their football program, according to a Golden West College game preview.

Saturday's game is the first Homecoming under new athletic director Tom Briskey. A former SMC water polo coach and SMC alum, Briskey took over as interim athletic director in 2025 and became the department's new AD heading into the 2026 school year, replacing longtime director Reggie Ellis, The Corsair student newspaper reported on Oct. 19.

"If there was any place in the world I'd want to teach and coach, where would it be? And this is the place," Briskey told The Corsair in the Oct. 19 profile.

One of Briskey's stated goals is to strengthen the branding and image of SMC sports and draw more spectators to campus events. The Homecoming Game, themed "Once a Corsair, Always a Corsair," aims to bring current students and alumni together, according to SMC Associated Students meeting minutes from Sept. 28.

Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and youth ages 3 to 12, and free for children under 3, veterans and SMC students with ID, according to Santa Monica Next. Advance tickets are available at smc.edu/tickets; a service charge applies. Free parking is available on the SMC main campus at 1900 Pico Blvd.

Pre-game picnicking and blankets to sit on are welcome. Alcohol, glass containers, barbecues and chairs with pointed legs are prohibited. SMC is a smoke-free campus.

The Corsairs' final regular-season game is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7, at San Bernardino Valley College, with a 6 p.m. kickoff.
