Two-dollar oysters, weekend DJs, and a new cocktail list have arrived at one of Santa Monica's most recognizable buildings.

The Georgian Hotel at 1415 Ocean Ave. is running its new Oyster Hour at Sirena, the hotel's California-Italian restaurant, every Wednesday through Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. through August. The menu pairs $2 West Coast oysters with Osetra caviar, a lobster roll, and a rotating lineup of classic cocktails, Westside Current reported July 31.

The programming is part of a broader summer push at the 1931 Art Deco landmark. The hotel is also debuting a new cocktail menu, hosting live DJ sets on weekends, staging upcoming receptions at Gallery 33 (its on-site art space), and running a coffee pop-up collaboration. The pop-up operates Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m., according to Santa Monica's tourism site.

Sirena normally serves brunch Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with dinner running until 9 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and until 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. The Oyster Hour slots into the gap between the two.

The programming follows the Georgian's reinvention under Santa Monica hotelier Jon Blanchard, whose JB Hotel Group acquired the property in 2020 and completed a full restoration in 2023. The hotel joined The Unbound Collection by Hyatt in March, according to a Hyatt newsroom announcement, giving it access to Hyatt's global loyalty program. It now offers 84 rooms, including 28 suites, starting at $700 per night.

Gallery 33 has hosted works by Sharon Stone, Billy Zane, and photographer George Byrne since the restoration. Specific dates for the upcoming summer receptions and the names of the weekend DJs have not been announced.

The Oyster Hour runs through the end of August.
