A Santa Monica College student says she raised $8,500 for breast cancer patients through a dance fitness fundraiser in Beverly Hills on Oct. 11.

Audriana Levian, a pre-health student at SMC who founded the nonprofit A Dream Love at age 14, organized the event called Breast Dancer during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Santa Monica Daily Press reported.

Forty guests between the ages of 5 and 80 attended the pink-themed morning class, which was taught by Annie, an instructor with Exit 33 Dance. It was A Dream Love's first event, Levian told the Daily Press.

"I wanted it to feel joyful rather than sad, a morning where people could move, celebrate, and give at the same time," Levian said in written responses to the Daily Press.

The event's online fundraising page collected $7,852 from 35 donors. A single $5,000 contribution accounted for most of that total, with additional cash donated at the door bringing the morning's haul to $8,500, according to Levian.

The proceeds go to The Pink Fund, which covers rent, mortgage payments, car payments, utilities and other non-medical living costs for people in active breast cancer treatment. Levian serves as a Pink Fund ambassador.

A Dream Love is a registered 501(c)(3) based in Beverly Hills. The nonprofit's website says every gift funds patient care.

According to the organization’s website, a frightening breast health experience in Levian’s family helped inspire the effort.

She graduated from high school early and is now balancing her coursework at SMC with running the nonprofit. She told the Daily Press that school "comes first, and my chemistry lab is the one thing that never moves."

A Dream Love is scheduled to present at New York Fashion Week in February 2027, with ticket proceeds again going to breast cancer patients.
