Santa Monica residents can snag early tickets to the inaugural Ocean Way Festival, catch a free sound bath, and celebrate the State of the City on Main Street all in the same week.

The Ocean Park Association flagged the lineup in its Monday, July 20 community update, and the calendar runs through Saturday, July 26.

Ocean Way Festival resident presale

The resident presale for the inaugural Ocean Way Festival opens Wednesday, July 22, at 11 a.m., a full day before the general public can buy tickets on Thursday, July 23, according to the Ocean Park Association's weekly update. General admission starts at $399, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Goldenvoice, the Coachella promoter, announced the two-day festival for Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27, on the Ocean Park stretch of beach just south of the Santa Monica Pier. The Killers and Olivia Dean headline, with Khruangbin, Sublime, Jack White, Hiatus Kaiyote, and Alvvays among the support acts.

"Santa Monica has an incredible music history, and Goldenvoice has been fortunate to be part of that story," Nic Adler, vice president of regional festivals for Goldenvoice, told the Los Angeles Times on July 16. "Ocean Way Festival is our opportunity to celebrate that history while building something that feels authentically Santa Monica for years to come."

There is no onsite parking. The festival grounds sit steps from the Metro E Line terminus, and organizers will run complimentary shuttles from offsite lots. More details are at oceanwayfestival.com.

Free Summer Sound Bath

The Fairview Branch Library, 2101 Ocean Park Blvd., hosts a free Summer Sound Bath on Wednesday, July 22, at 6 p.m. The session uses singing bowls and soothing tones. Spots are first-come, first-served, and the Ocean Park Association recommends bringing a yoga mat.

State of the City open-street celebration

Main Street between Hollister Avenue and Ocean Park Boulevard closes to traffic Thursday, July 23, from 4 to 7 p.m. for the city's free State of the City event, according to santamonica.com.

The theme is "Realignment to Renaissance," marking the city's progress on its Realignment Plan as Santa Monica prepares for the FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl LXI, and the LA28 Olympics. Mayor Caroline Torosis will deliver the State of the City address. Entertainment includes DJ Bukue One, the Santa Monica High School Orchestra Ensemble, Spirit Fingers Trio (Greg Spero, Mohini Dey, Marco Cirigliano), and a reading by Santa Monica Poet Laureate Jay Baldwin. Santa Monica Conservancy docents will lead guided tours of the historic Shotgun House, built in 1897 and recognized as the last intact shotgun house in the city.

Sunset Swim at Annenberg Beach House

Adults 18 and older can float in the historic heated pool at the Annenberg Community Beach House, 415 Pacific Coast Highway, on Saturday, July 25. The pool was originally part of the 1920s Marion Davies estate built by William Randolph Hearst. S'mores and pool floaties are included. Additional Sunset Swim dates are Friday, August 7, and Friday, August 21.
