Big Blue Bus will run a weekend schedule on Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day.

Six routes will not operate that day: Routes 5, 15, 16, 41, 44 and Rapid 10. Riders who depend on those lines should plan alternate transportation or check other available routes on the BBB trip-planning page.

Blue: The Transit Store and Customer Service office at 1444 4th St. will be closed all day Sept. 7. Both reopen Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Big Blue Bus, a City of Santa Monica transit service, posted the holiday notice on X on Monday, Aug. 31.

The agency follows the same weekend schedule on eight holidays each year, including New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, according to the BBB holiday service page. Regular service runs on all other holidays.
